Making this collection has been one of my favorite projects lately. It all started with a few  t-shirts that had a failed print attempt on the. Rather than tossing them, I find a way to give them a makeover.

To cover up the print, I stitched some hanemade mushroom appliqué designs on. After that, I tie-dyed the entire shirt. The natural fibers, especially cotton, absorbed the dye beautifully, while synthetic parts created interesting contrasts. The whole process helped blend everything together, and the result was some beautiful one-of-a-kind pieces.

For me, this collection was not just about making something new –it was about reducing waste and doing my part. Reworking pre-loved t-shirts, is a crucial way in which fashion creatives can help keep textiles out of landfills and making something special out of what might have been discarded.
